Settling In

Finally feeling better and we're starting to get to know Edmonton a little more. Eric and I checked out a great Thai food place last night and a pub nearby called "The Black Dog". The bars here still allow smoking and I forgot how smelly you get when you go into those places. We were only there for a half an hour (just long enough for one beer) and we came out smelling like ashtrays. Yuck!

I'm thrilled though to find that everything here seems to be in walking distance. We live off Whyte Ave, which is the equivalent of Commercial and Granville smooshed into one. Save-on is a block from us and every other store I need is at most 6 blocks away. It's great not having to drive that much.

I'm excited because I just signed up for belly dancing his morning. I start on Wednesday. I really needed to sign up for something to keep busy, and was thrilled to discover that the belly dance studio is only 3 blocks from my house. Convenient or what?

It was a bit of a pleasant surprise as well to discover my former place of employment "Beadworks", is just 6 blocks from my place, so Cara if you're reading this, I'm set for supplies for making Bridesmaid jewellery!!

So yeah things are finally going well. I think this year is going to fly by!!
